Grease Litter Update — 8+ Puppies Seen! 

We have some very exciting news from Didgeridoodles!

Lola has now had her pregnancy scan 

and we were delighted to see 8+ puppies growing beautifully. 

​

As anyone who has followed Lola’s previous journeys will know,

she does have a history of surprising us!

Her previous litters have been 10 puppies and 12 puppies,

so although the scan has shown 8+, ultrasound numbers are only ever an estimate

— there could potentially be a few more little Grease babies hiding away in there!

Our Grease Litter is Currently CLOSED

— 10 Families Reserved

We now have 10 families reserved for Lola & Ralph’s Grease Litter,

so we have officially closed reservations for the time being.

However, we won’t know Lola’s final litter size until she gives birth.

If Lola once again has a larger litter and delivers more puppies than expected,

we may reopen a small number of places after the birth.

Families already on our Float List receive first priority on any unexpected availability

— whether that comes from a larger-than-expected litter or a space becoming available.

Float List families are contacted before we open places to new applications.

So, if you are hoping for a Didgeridoodles puppy and have some flexibility around timing,

joining the Float List gives you the best opportunity to move forward

when a puppy becomes available.

For now, Lola is doing wonderfully

and we’re enjoying every moment of this very special journey.

​How is Lola feeling?

Over the last few weeks, we’ve definitely noticed some of those little changes we associate with early pregnancy.

Lola has been sleepier, extra cuddly and clingy, and she’s certainly developed more of an interest in her food!

At this stage, if all has gone to plan, the tiny puppies are developing incredibly quickly. Their little bodies are becoming recognisably puppy-shaped, limbs are forming and their hearts are beating.

It’s amazing to think how much can happen in just four weeks.

 ​What colours are we expecting from Lola & Ralph?

Now for one of the really exciting bits… what might our little Pink Ladies & T-Birds look like? ❤️🐶

With Lola & Regency Red’s Ralph, we are expecting a gorgeous warm colour palette, with puppies potentially ranging through:

❤️ Rich reds
🧡 Deep reds
🍯 Caramels
✨ Golden/caramel shades
🤍 Red or caramel puppies with beautiful white markings

Some puppies may be more solid in colour, while others could have those gorgeous little flashes of white on their chest, face or paws that make every puppy completely individual.

 

 How might this litter compare with Lola's previous puppies?

This is one of the things we find so fascinating about breeding — no two litters are ever exactly the same.

Lola has already produced some absolutely beautiful puppies, but pairing her with Ralph brings a different combination of genetics into the mix.

For the Grease litter, we're particularly hoping to see those richer, warmer red and caramel tones that we love, potentially with some lovely white markings appearing too.

And even within one litter, there can be a surprising amount of variation. One puppy might be a beautiful deep red, another a softer warm red, another caramel, and another could arrive wearing little white socks or a white chest. 🐾

That's part of the magic when they're born — seeing each tiny puppy for the first time and discovering exactly what Lola & Ralph have created.

🌈 A little note about puppy colour

We can predict the likely colour range, but Mother Nature always gets the final say!

Australian Labradoodle coat colour can also develop as puppies grow. Reds, for example, can soften or lighten with age, while other puppies may retain a particularly rich tone.

So although colour is great fun to talk about, our priority when placing our puppies will always remain the same:

Health, temperament and finding the puppy who is the best fit for each family come first. ❤️

But we have to admit…

We are VERY excited to see Lola & Ralph's colour palette!

🎬 Will we have a Sandy, a Rizzo, a Frenchy or perhaps a particularly handsome little Danny Zuko?

Hopefully it won't be long until we find out!

What happens after today?

If today’s scan confirms our pregnancy, the next few weeks are when things really start moving.

The puppies will grow rapidly, little toes and claws will develop, facial features will become clearer and their coats will begin to form.

We’ll gradually adjust Lola’s nutrition to support this stage of pregnancy, while keeping her enjoying gentle exercise, plenty of sleep and — knowing Lola — an enormous amount of cuddling. 😂❤️

As we move into the later weeks, her tummy should begin to blossom and eventually we may even get to see those magical little puppy movements.

Then comes the final countdown… nesting, preparing and waiting for our Grease babies to make their entrance into the world.

 Gotcha Day — First Week of December

If everything continues as expected, we anticipate our Grease puppies having their Gotcha Days during the first week of December 2026. 🎄🐶

Just imagine…

Little Pink Ladies & T-Birds heading off to their forever families just as Christmas begins to sparkle. ✨

For our reserved families, today is another lovely milestone in a journey we all get to share together.

And for anyone hoping to join them… watch this space.

Depending on what Lola has been cooking, we could soon have some exciting news about additional availability. 💕

From one little honeymoon on 5th August, to tiny hearts beating, little paws forming and eventually beautiful puppies heading home to their families…

The Grease journey is well and truly underway. 🎬🐾
